3rd Street Flats
3rd Street Flats is located McMinnville. The flats combine the intimacy of a Bed & Breakfast with the privacy of a luxury hotel. The concept of 3rd Street Flats is heavily influenced by the owner’s penchant for European pensioni when traveling abroad.
The top floor of 219 NE Cowls Street, McMinnville, Oregon has been converted into three apartments and a single studio. Each was designed by a different team of local interior designers that incorporates design elements such as local art in each design.
The artwork in the rooms is carefully explained in a brochure in each flat, should a guest want to buy a specific piece the Flats will arrange for the sale.
Flat Features include: Full kitchens & bathrooms, Complimentary local wine and chocolate, Free tasting at Anthony Dell Cellars, Original local art, Regional guide book, Downtown guide, High quality beds & linens, Free Wi-Fi, iPod docking station, and Flat screen TVs.
The Flats are directly across the street from the Willamette Valley Vineyards Wine Center, a great place to begin foraging for wine. 3rd Street Flats is on the historic McMinnville Main Street in a historic building. Guests pick up their keys downstairs in the Anthony Dell Cellars tasting room.
Although there is no staff at a reception desk to greet you and settle you in, the folks at the tasting room are gracious in welcoming you and can answer any questions you may have. They offer a free wine tasting to guests at the flats. Cultural Oregon recommends this unusual, well decorated, boutique Willamette Valley hotel retreat in wine country. It should be noted that the flats are on the second floor and can only be reached by stairs.

Next. The Cherry Hill Winery has a Secret? Hint, Make friends with the Sweeneys!
The Cherry Hill Winery and Vineyard is owned by Mike and Jan Sweeney. The couple bought the 150 acres that are now home to the winery back in 1998. Since then they have worked hard to make Cherry Hill a great winery.
These two have loads of friends that get to stay in one of their 8 superb cabins for free. Wouldn’t you like to be friends with Mike and Jan too?
It’s really easy to become friends, just buy two cases of their wonderful Willamette Valley Cherry Hill or Papillon Pinot noirs and they will friend you faster than if you were friending them on Facebook.
It seems that local zoning prohibits the winery from offering guest lodgings on the winery property. But the law says nothing about providing a place for friends to stay. Once you and the Sweeneys are friends you can stay in one of the eight fabulous cabins that feature a comfortably furnished room with a fireplace, a full kitchen and a very comfortable queen-sized bed.
Cherry Hill is located in the Eola Hills. The address is 7867 Crowley Road, Rickreall, Oregon [See Map]. To arrange a sleepover with your friends Mike and Jan call (503) 623-7867.
