A wonderful historic downtown, just 30 minutes from Portland. Great day trip, terrific gateway town on your way to the Columbia River Gorge. Visit Troutdale and enjoy several charming blocks of history.
Throughout the Gorge and Mt. Hood region, several cultural attractions are worth a visit. Railroads, Cultural Center, Cascade Locks, Museums are a nice balance to the beauty and outdoor activities of this magical place.
In Southern Oregon, Ashland and Jacksonville, are home to several Historic Hotel choices that fit right in with the Wild West & Theater themes of each town.
